Roof Coverings

Depending on the product you choose some structures will be supplied with the benefit of a roofing material as standard. Items this applies to will clearly state the type of covering supplied within the product description.

Mineral Felt – This is the standard roof covering for many of our summerhouses.

Felt Roof Underlay – This covering is supplied as standard (unless felt shingle are ordered) with most of our wooden gazebos. It is not to be confused with mineral felt. It is mainly specified as an underlay for customers wishing to apply cedar shingles at a later date.

Felt Roof Shingles – This attractive heavy duty roof covering is far superior to any of the other roofing options we have. Available in a choice of colours to suit the surrounding space the shingles provide the appearance of a tiled roof without the associated weight and will far outlast other forms of roof covering.

The majority of our timber products are constructed from pressure treated components to ensure protection against the elements. In some cases (such as log cabins) the timber has not been treated and will therefore need to be protected once assembled by the end user. Details of the type timber used will always detailed within the product description.

All products are sold in a self build kit ready for home assembly and we take no responsibility for this process. As such make sure you have the relevant level of DIY skills prior to starting any project as certain items will be made up of lots of different components and the ability to read a plan may be necessary.
