Grande Gazebo Provides Shade & Shelter to Garden in Warwickshire

Approached by a client located in Warwickshire looking for a way to provide shade and shelter to a newly refurbished patio and terrace area Gazebo Direct were keen offer the right solution to meet the needs of the homeowner and the space constraints of the garden.

Main Requirements

• Provide shade and shelter using a fixed timber garden structure
• The structure should maintain an open aspect to the garden
• The ability to fit within a raised patio terrace area
• The need for a pitched roof design combined with waterproof covering so the outdoor space can be used on wet and rainy days
• Suitable for self assembly as the homeowner would be completing the majority of the build
• The chosen design should be made up using pressure treated timber to ensure the maximum possible lifespan of the structure

Solution

After establishing the amount of space the customer had to work with we felt the best approach would be to offer some of our open sided gazebo design to the customer including the Superior, Grande and Tourist designs. These were felt to be most suitable because they are supported off posts at each corner so do not block the view into the garden and also allow for the maximum use of the space beneath the roof.

Furthermore, with the option of felt shingles in a choice of colours the homeowner could blend the look of the gazebo with the surrounding location to ensure a high level of aesthetic appeal without having to compromise on practicality.

After consultation with the builder and having measured the space again the customer chose to purchase the Grande wooden gazebo with a black shingle roof. They did not order the ground anchors as they were planning on setting the corner support posts in shallow concrete for stability then paving around the timber for a neat a professional finish.
