Marit Wooden Gazebo Creates Alfresco Dining Area in Oxfordshire Garden

We were approached by a customer based in Oxfordshire who was looking to source a high quality wooden garden gazebo that would meet the needs of the property and lifestyle. With a large patio area to work with size was not an issue however to ensure the gazebo provided the maximum number of benefits to them they wanted a design that would meet the following criteria.

Main Requirements

• Pitched roof design with the option of adding shingles for a more appealing appearance
• Provide protection from the wind
• Screen the homeowner from view (overlooking neighbours)
• Provides a large internal seating area (so they could entertain with guests during the summer)
• Simple to build on a DIY basis
• Strong and robust design
• The need for a freestanding design ( the patio was already completed and the homeowner did not want to dig it back up)

Solution

Once we had a full understanding of their needs we were able to provide the customer with several solutions including the Waldemar, Marit and Morten gazebos along with several other options including the Ultimo design however as this would need additional timber boards installing to provide protection against the wind this option was quickly dismissed.

Based on this and after careful consideration by the customer (and a little advice from us) they selected the Marit design with a red shingle roof as it was felt this gazebo specification offered pretty much everything they were looking for based on the initial brief.

Furthermore because it features an interlocking timber construction it would also take less time to build when compared to some of our other designs and suggestions.
